Monthly stats: Over 1,800 people rescued in Pindi
The data revealed that a total of 52,928 victims were rescued by the Punjab Emergency Service in Punjab.

The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) rescued 1,883 victims while conducting 1,429 operations in Rawalpindi during the month of August. According to a press statement issued on Tuesday, Rescue 1122 informed that in 1,429 emergency cases, 626 victims were rescued in road traffic accidents, 35 in fire-related incidents, one in a building collapse case, 66 in crime-related incidents, 118 in special rescue operations and 583 in medical emergencies. Rescue 1122 Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer carried out a performance review of the emergency operations in all districts of Punjab to ensure uniform standard of the service. The data revealed that a total of 52,928 victims were rescued by the Punjab Emergency Service in Punjab in 49,588 rescue operations in August whereas the average response time was reported as 7 minutes in each case.
