LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge issued a notice to the Lytton Road SHO seeking the registration of a case against a man and his wife accused of abducting and thrashing a lawyer.
Advocate Bilal said a few weeks ago, he received a call from one of his clients who said an unidentified girl had come to their house offering to work as a servant there because she did not want to live with her parents.
He said he visited the girl’s family and recorded their statements.
Bilal said on August 28, the girl’s parents called him asking him to meet with them. He said he went to meet them at Saadi Park but they took him to an unidentified place and beat him up.
Bilal said he tried to convince them that their daughter was staying at his client’s house, not his, but they did not listen. He said the girl’s parents took his LBA card and other valuables.
