Asif suffers back-to-back defeats
Pakistan cueist fails to impress on opening day of 6-Red event.

Former IBSF world champion Muhammad Asif began his campaign at the Sangsom 6-Red World Championship on a low after registering two successive defeats in Bangkok, Thailand.
Asif recently lost his Asian 6-Red crown and he also failed to defend their World Team Championship title in Egypt along with Muhammad Sajjad.
In his first match on Monday against Gareth Allen of Wales, Asif lost 5-4 after putting up a spirited fight.
The Pakistani cueist chalked up a 75-point break to go 1-0 up, but was unable to sustain the form as he lost with a scoreline of 4-75(75), 31-25, 46-0, 20-41, 11-54, 68(68)-0, 19-44, 44-13 and 47-0.
In the second match, Asif was thrashed 5-1 by Scotland’s Graeme Dott, putting his fortunes at the event in jeopardy.
