After spending four years together, Kate Mara and Max Minghella have called it quits. The two stars began dating in 2010, but recently broke up, multiple sources confirm to E!Online.
Surprisingly Minghella, The Internship actor, was not Mara’s date to the Emmys this year. The House of Cards star instead partied with stylist pal Johnny Wujek, who also accompanied her to Italy for the Venice Film Festival.
There is no telling why and what led to their break up but it seems that the pair have parted and gone their separate ways. Even though known for their frequent splits and patch-ups, we are waiting to see if this will stick.
Mara plays a deep role as a too-intrepid political blogger on the TV-drama, House of Cards. This year she was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series but didn’t win. She strode the Emmy red carpet in a flowing white J Mendel dress with a positive attitude. The 31-year-old stunner was also seen getting cheeky at the event when she grabbed the rear end of creator of American Horror Story, Ryan Murphey, while he was going for pictures.
Before he started dating Mara, Minghella in a relationship with DJ and model Leigh Lezark. He is the actor son of late filmmaker Anthony Minghella, who had a guest arc on The Mindy Project last season and he’s on the big screen in the indie, Big Chill-Reminiscent Reunion Dramedy About Alex, which hit theaters earlier this month.
We are waiting to see who the stars carry next on their arms-or will it just be each other?
