Second attack on private container-trucks in Balochistan during the current month
QUETTA:
A container-truck driver was shot dead and a cleaner wounded on the National Highway in Dera Murad Jamali area of Balochistan on Saturday. Ali Mohammed, a police official in Dera Murad Jamali, said the container loaded with grease was going to Quetta from Karachi when two assailants on a motorcycle intercepted it. “The attackers forced down the driver and cleaner, shot them and left. The driver died on the spot while the cleaner was found in injured condition,” he said. This was the second attack on private container-trucks in Balochistan during the current month. Separately, two brothers were shot dead in Sonahri area of Kohlu district in the early hours of Saturday. Mir Mohammed and Khair Mohammed were sleeping in their home when unidentified assailant barged in and shot them, an official at Kohlu police station said. Meanwhile a 70-year-old shepherd was killed when he walked in front of a moving train near Chaman town, an official of the Levies said.
