INSPECTION: EPA checks 29 sites for dengue

EPA teams inspected 11 tyre shops, 17 junkyards and a nursery.

RAWALPINDI:
The provincial Environment Protection Agency (EPA) on Saturday sealed three places out of a total 29 it inspected during the ongoing anti-dengue drive. EPA teams inspected 11 tyre shops, 17 junkyards and a nursery. Officials also removed stagnant water from three potential dengue breeding sites. They, however, found no dengue larva at any site. EPA District Officer Mian Mohammad Nawaz said tyre shops, hotels, restaurants, nurseries, under-construction sites and other potential dengue breeding sites are being regularly inspected. He said 26 sites were declared clear of dengue larva on Saturday.
