LARKANA:
The Sindh health department issued a show-cause notice to a medical officer for remaining absent from government duty at Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) without authorisation from May 2, 2010, to date. Dr Abdul Karim, son of Haji Abdullah Shaikh, was granted 60 days of earned leave with effect from March 4, 2010, but failed both to report back for duty after the expiration of his leave and to submit an application for extending his leave. The CMCH medical superintendent, therefore, sent a detailed absence report against him for absconding from government duty without lawful authorisation.
