Corrective sentences: Judge orders release of six prisoners
The judge said reformative programmes for prisoners was essential for their reintegration

District and Sessions Judge Abdul Mustafa Nadeem said on Friday rehabilitation of prisoners could help make them better citizens. “Arrangements should be made at prisons for rehabilitation of prisoners,” the judge said this during his visit to Dera Ghazi Khan Central Jail. The judge inspected the kitchen, the hospital and several barracks. He also spoke to the prisoners about their problems. He ordered release of six men who were imprisoned for petty crimes. They are Sagheer Sameer, Taimur, Allah Divaya, Aminullah, Saadullah and Talib Hussain. They were ordered to present surety bonds of Rs20,000 each.
