Giving credit: Chowk renamed after Sitara Group
DCO said district authorities were renaming thoroughfares and public spaces after famous personalities

The city government on Thursday renamed a chowk near Bilal Masjid as Sitara Chowk. District Coordination Officer (DCO) Noorul Amin Mengal presided over the inauguration ceremony. The chowk has been renamed in honour of the services rendered by Sitara Group of Industries. Sitara Chemical Industries Mian Muhammad Idrees praised Mengal on the occasion. Idrees said Mengal had been striving to develop Faisalabad. Idrees said Mengal would transform Faisalabad into a mega-city if allowed to serve there for five more years. The DCO said district authorities were renaming thoroughfares and public spaces after famous personalities to pay tribute to them. He said this would create a new relationship between the city and its residents.
