Partnership: LCCI demands collaboration with govt

LCCI vice president says he had taken various initiatives to facilitate the LCCI members

LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry will enhance its interaction with policymakers aimed at bringing the country out of its economic problems. This was announced at a meeting of LCCI Vice President Kashif Anwar, while MPAs Salman Butt, Shahzadi Shamim Akhter, Dr Farzana Nazir were also present. Anwar said though traders were bound to pay their taxes, the government should involve the business community while formulating tax related policies. He said that the existing ratio of LDA commercialisation fee and property tax was not justified. He urged the Punjab Food Authority and other related departments to facilitate the restaurant industry. The LCCI vice president informed the participants that he had taken various initiatives to facilitate the LCCI members, one of which includes LCCI’s open door policy for all traders.
