Cop booked for torturing vendor

KARACHI:

A police constable was arrested along with two accomplices in Orangi Town after allegedly refusing to pay for food and assaulting a shopkeeper, police officials said on Sunday.

Constable Tanzeel, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, arrived at the shop with his companions and ordered kebabs and fried fish. After finishing the meal, the shopkeeper's brother demanded payment. Tanzeel, along with his associates, allegedly assaulted him at gunpoint and vandalised the shop.

Upon receiving information, police reached the scene and arrested them.
