LAHORE: An advocate on Wednesday withdrew his petition against the long march and sit-ins staged by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah of the Lahore High Court took up the petition for hearing. However, the petitioner failed to establish his case and chose not to press it. Advocate Amjad Mahmood, the petitioner, then sought permission to withdraw the petition and the judge allowed it. The Federation, provincial government, the prime minister, the provincial chief minister, PTI chief Imran Khan, PAT chief Tahirul Qadri and the inspector general of Punjab Police had been named respondents in the case.
