Kidnappers arrested: Contractor recovered in raid
Two kidnappers were also arrested during the raid.
KARACHI:
A 28-year-old man who was abducted on June 3 was recovered in a joint operation by the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC), the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) and the Sukkur police on Wednesday. The abducted man was identified as Mansoor Ahmed and he was found in Kandhkot, Sukkur. A contractor by profession, Ahmed was kidnapped on June 3 as he was heading to work in DHA, Karachi. When he went missing, an FIR No. 211/14 was registered at the Clifton police station. CPLC officials claimed that the kidnappers had demanded three million rupees from the family as ransom. The CPLC, AVCC and Sukkur police raided the kidnappers hideout and recovered Ahmed. Two kidnappers were also arrested during the raid.
