Joint ventures: Delegation leaves for South Korea, Philippines
Will meet counterparts to explore business potential.
KARACHI:
A trade delegation of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has left for South Korea and Philippines which will meet different chambers and trade organisations of the two countries.
The delegation is headed by FPCCI President Zakaria Usman, which was formed in close collaboration with the Pakistan Embassy in Korea and Philippine.
Other members include FPCCI vice-presidents Ismail Suttar, Mian Mehmood, Mazhar Ali Nasir and members of Pak-Korea and Pak-Philippine Business Councils of FPCCI, a release said on Monday.
During the stay in Korea the delegation will meet office bearers of Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) and Korea International Trade Association (KITA).
The Pakistan Embassy has also arranged business-to-business meetings for the delegates with the close cooperation of Korea CCI and KOIMA. The release said that Maeil Economic Daily, Korea Post and Korea Herald will also conduct special interviews of the FPCCI’s delegation.
The FPCCI’s trade delegation will leave for Philippine from Seoul on August 28 where it will meet the members of Philippine CCI, MMCCI and the government functionaries. The delegation will also attend a business forum and B2B meetings with industry associations.
During its stay, the delegation is also scheduled to attend a meeting with the Philippine’s chambers and their joint business councils.
Before leaving for Korea and Philippine Usman stated that this business trip was long overdue.
He added that the delegation will highlight the investment opportunities in Pakistan and encourage the leading companies of both countries for joint ventures in various sectors.
