He said this while speaking to representatives of SITE Association of Industry (SAI) who gathered to meet TDAP Chief S M Muneer and other officials.
Motiwala demanded the TDAP chief to take concrete steps for the promotion of trade especially the country’s exports. In response, Muneer assured all the participants of the meeting that he would discharge his responsibilities honestly, urging businessmen to bring their issues forward.
The TDAP chief said that he would invest towards enhancing the exports of the country, adding that the body would work towards improving the image of the “made in Pakistan” logo.
The impromptu visit by the TDAP chief was aimed at taking the manufacturers and exporters into confidence through trade bodies.
Muneer was of the view that the TDAP and the SITE Association have to play their vital role to uplift the reputation of the country through its economy, trade and industry.
TDAP chief was accompanied by two directors general, DG (America) Qamar Anjum and DG (Asia) Dr Yousuf.
SAI Patron-in-Chief Siraj Kassam Teli, while discussing issues of the industrialists, and particularly of exporters, assured full cooperation to the TDAP chief in the implementation of its policies. He stressed the need to work with transparency in order to strengthen the common cause of the business community.
SAI Chairman Younus M Bashir also assured him full cooperation of the SITE Association towards meeting the challenges in exporting goods. He hoped that the TDAP chief would be able to contribute towards enhancing the country’s exports.
