Anti-Govt Rally: ISF, PTI protest in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR:
The Insaaf Students’ Federation (ISF) organised a protest rally from Seraiki Chowk to Bahawalpur Press Club on Saturday. ISF and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers later staged a demonstration at the Fareed Gate. The participants of the rally were carrying the placards, displaying slogans against the government. Addressing the protesters, ISF Punjab vice president Hafiz Asad said that only the resignation of the prime minister could resolve the current political crisis. “The PTI will continue its protests until Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resigns,” he said. He said that Bahawalpur was no longer a PML-N stronghold. “Bahawalpur has become a hub of the PTI. We will hold protests throughout the city against the government,” he said. PTI Southern Punjab Women’s Wing general secretary Shehla Ehsan said that the ISF was an important part of the PTI.
