Punjab government has failed to register FIR on the directives of a court: Qadri
PAT chief accused the govt of disinterest in purposeful negotiations.

Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahirul Qadri turned up the heat on the government on Friday, accusing it of disinterest in purposeful negotiations.
He also lashed out at the PML-N government for not registering FIRs against those accused of having a hand in the Model Town tragedy, including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. He added that the Punjab government had failed to register FIRs on the directive of a court and no superior court had challenged its stance. The PAT chief insisted that the court’s decision would be declared null and void by a superior court at the behest of the Sharif brothers, so he does not expect justice from the current regime.
“I want the murderers of the 14 people killed in Model Town to be punished,” said Qadri. “But the courts and the administration are controlled by the Sharif brothers and they are using them as their personal property”.
He condemned the government for blocking water and food for the participants of the Inqilab march – including women, children and the elderly. “These people are committed to bringing about a revolution and will sit here until the prime minister resigns. They are here to plead justice against the massacre at Model Town,” Qadri said.
