Guilty by association 45 tribesmen arrested in Khyber Agency

JAMRUD: The political administration of Jamrud tehsil, Khyber Agency arrested 45 tribesmen from Torkhel, Sher Khan Khel and Manya Khel on Friday under the collective responsibility clause and put them in the lockup. Political Tehsildar of Jamrud, Irshad Khan, said several Nato containers, oil tankers and passenger vehicles had been targeted recently in the areas dominated by these tribes. However, residents of Sor Kamar, Jamrud declared the arrests an act of cruelty and demanded the immediate release of the detained tribesmen. They threatened to block the Pak-Afghan Highway for traffic if their demands were not met.
