As the government allowed protesters of the “Azadi” and “Inqilab” marches to enter the Red Zone and ordered authorities not to use violent means to stop them, policemen were seen relaxing throughout Wednesday.
A group of cops were seen playing cards, sitting at the venue where marchers from Pakistan Awami Tehreek and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf have pegged their camps outside Parliament House.
Usually calm and heavily guarded, the area outside Parliament House is presently packed with thousands of women and children, old and young, from across the country. A number of participants of the sit-ins could be seen sitting under the shade of trees to escape the scorching sun.
