PTI to resign from all assemblies except K-P, says Shah Mehmood Qureshi
He went on to add that other than two or three members, all PTI members have submitted their resignations to the party

A day after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) called for a countrywide civil disobedience campaign, the party has decided to resign from all its seats in the National Assembly and provincial assemblies except K-P, PTI vice-chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Monday, while addressing the media in Bani Gala.
However, Qureshi said the party was still making a decision about what to do in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa since it is leading a coalition government in the province. He said the party would take its decision in this regard after consulting with its coalition partners.
“After examining the whole situation, PTI has decided to go with the politics of people and resign from national and provincial assemblies except K-P assembly,” said Qureshi.
"We are resigning from the National Assembly, Punjab Assembly, Balochistan Assembly and Sindh Assembly," Qureshi told reporters. However, he did not give a timeframe for submitting the resignations.
He went on to add that other than two or three members, all PTI members have submitted their resignations to the party. To a question, Qureshi said his party had not closed the doors on negotiation with the government, but the party felt the government is deceiving the nation in the name of negotiations. It is expected that AML’s Sheikh Rasheed and Jamshed Dasti may also resign from parliament.
