Bank heist: Robbers kill 2 security guards in Multan

Robbers also fire on police van which was parked nearby; search operation underway

MULTAN: Robbers targeted a private bank in Multan on Monday, killing two security guards as they made off with hundreds of thousands of rupees, Express News reported.

The bank is located near General Bus Stand in Multan.

According to eye witnesses, six robbers fired on the bank entrance as they made their way inside. One of the bank's guards was killed on the spot, while the other succumbed to his injuries while he was being shifted to Nishtar Hospital for medical assistance.

As they made their way out of the building, the robbers also fired on a police van which was parked nearby.

The police launched a search operation but no one was arrested till the filing of this report.
