Raids: Kite seller among seven arrested

The police seized 1,150 grams of hashish, five bottles of liquor, 20 kites and string rolls.

Police on Sunday arrested seven lawbreakers including a kite seller and four gamblers from various localities of the city.


The police seized 1,150 grams of hashish, five bottles of liquor, 20 kites and string rolls, Rs4,550 stake money and two mobile phones from their possession.


According to Rawalpindi police spokesperson, the Saddar Bairuni police netted Shakila with 1,150 grams of hashish while Nadeem was rounded up for possessing five liquor bottles.


Sajid, a shopkeeper, was arrested for selling kites. Police seized 20 kites and several string rolls from him. Ratta Amral police nabbed Afzal, Rab Nawaz, Pervaiz and Sajid for gambling.


Police confiscated Rs4,550 stake money and two mobile phones from their possession.
