A group of around 20 young men and women staged an innovative demonstration in front of the Sindh Assembly
KARACHI:
A group of around 20 young men and women staged an innovative demonstration in front of the Sindh Assembly building and attracted a large audience to watch their unique way of campaigning. Sitting between colourful stuffed toys, the young people said they should not be treated like toys and their right to information must be respected. The activity was arranged by a national awareness campaign ‘Ehad’ that is urging parents and caretakers to provide appropriate knowledge to youngsters, in the light of Islamic teachings and cultural values, about vital issues, such as child sexual abuse, challenges of growing up, unhealthy peer pressure, addiction and infectious diseases.
