At gunpoint: Robbers loot jewellery worth Rs7m

Kot Najibullah police registered a case against unidentified robbers.

HARIPUR: Two armed robbers held a jeweller at gunpoint and took away cash and jewellery worth Rs7 million in Kot Najibullah on Wednesday morning. Muhammad Arif, who has a jewellery shop in Panian village, told the police he used to take his daily cash and jewellery home owing to the lack of a proper security system in Panian. On Wednesday morning, when Arif was going to his shop via Sera-e-Gadai Road in his car, two men on a motorcycle intercepted him near Bani Mor. The bandits held Arif at gunpoint and snatched the jewellery worth Rs6.7 million and Rs300,000 in cash. Kot Najibullah police registered a case against unidentified robbers.
