Policy issued for shifting
OGRA issues policy for shifting CNG stations which have been closed down or affected by public sector constructions.
ISLAMABAD:
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a policy for shifting those CNG stations which have been closed down or affected by public sector constructions, said chairman Touqir Sadiq on Tuesday.
As per this policy, owners who want to shift their pumps from the affected place would have to fulfill the rules, regulations and criterion laid down in the OGRA policy, he added.
If the owners come up to these parameters then they will be issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for shifting their CNG stations, he added.
The chairman maintained that the ban on setting up new CNG stations is still in place all over the country excluding Balochistan.
It may be recalled that some former members of OGRA under the pretext of ban imposed by the government on establishment of new CNG stations had also banned the shifting of stations affected by the construction of highways, bridges, roads and other projects.
The OGRA while taking prompt notice of this state of affairs has evolved and released new policy in this regard under the directives of the government.
