Family dispute: Three killed, two injured in DI Khan ambush

DPO suspends all staff at hospital reporting centre for recording false FIRs.

DI KHAN:
An attack in the early hours of Tuesday left three persons dead and two others injured in Wanda Abu, DI Khan.

According to a Yarak police official, the incident occurred when the men were coming back from another village at about 1am after attending a wedding. The attackers were lying in wait for the victims, who were on motorcycles.

Saeedullah, Ali Rehman and Muhammad Hanif were killed on the spot, while Hakim Jan and Muhammad Yusaf were injured and rushed to DHQ Hospital, DI Khan for treatment.

On Hakim Jan’s complaint, Yarak police lodged an FIR against Saeed Alam, Sher Alam and Qadeem Jan. All three accused are also residents of Wanda Abu. According to the police official, there has been a long-standing family enmity between the two groups, but further details were not shared.


Meanwhile, DI Khan DPO Sadiq Baloch has suspended all staff at the reporting centre of DHQ hospital, DI Khan, read a statement issued by his office.

The notification accused the suspended officials of recording false FIRs. It added that Hawaldar Zameer Abbas has been made in charge of the reporting centre on a temporary basis.

Those suspended include the centre in charge ASI Ghulam Muhammad, Hawaldar Muhammad Salim, Hawaldar Shaukat, Constable Umar Daraz and Constable Muhammad Arif.
