Justice denied: Gang-rape victim beaten up in court
The assailants managed to escape.
HAFIZABAD:
Opponents beat a rape-victim and her sister in court on Monday. Saira*, a resident of Gujranwala, was allegedly kidnapped by Chaudhry Afzaal* and his friends last month. She said the kidnappers took her to Pindi Bhattian, where they raped her. On Monday, when she appeared in a court accompanied by her sister, some relatives of the accused beat them up. The assailants managed to escape. The sisters have appealed to authorities to shift the case to another court in Hafizabad.
