#100HAPPYDAYS: Communal fervour
Celebrities played a night match, exuding patriotism in uniforms with Pakistan’s flag designed on them.
It’s always fitting to see Pakistani bigwigs think big for the welfare of the country. We are thrilled to see that artistes the likes of qawwal Amjad Sabri, actors Adnan Siddiqui and Aijaz Aslam, and musician Fakhr-e-Alam came together to play a cricket match, the ticket sales of which will be used for relief efforts for the North Waziristan internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Junaid Ali Shah, son of the late Dr Muhammad Ali Shah, organised a night match for the stars to shine on the cricket pitch, exuding patriotism in uniforms with Pakistan’s flag designed on them. The match took place at Asghar Ali Shah cricket stadium in Karachi. With Pakistan turning 67 this year, we love the communal fervour rising in our entertainment industry.
