Unprovoked firing by Indian soldiers in Charwah sector near the Sialkot working boundary killed a woman and injured two other people on Monday, Radio Pakistan reported.
Rangers sources said that a mosque was also damaged in the incident.
On retaliation by Chenab Rangers, the firing from the Indian side came to a halt.
According to Express News, the deceased was a resident of Khokar Shuba village near the border.
Houses were also damaged and many animals were killed in the incident, Express News reported.
According to an article published in Express Tribune on July 22, Punjab Rangers had revealed data that put the total of working boundary violations to 75 since the year 2011. At least three people have lost their lives during the violence while 48 people have been injured in the last three years.
