Crossing border: Pakistan hands over BSF man to India

An Indian Border Security Force (BSF) official who inadvertently crossed the Pakistani border on Friday was handed back to India in a simple ceremony at Anayat Saheed Check Post near Sialkot. According to a press release of the Pakistan Rangers, Satyasheel Yadav, an official of BSF crossed the Pakistani territory when the boat he was travelling in overturned in the river Jammu Tawi. With flow of water, Yadav entered the Pakistani area where Punjab Rangers caught him on August 6. During investigations, it was proved that the BSF man had crossed the border mistakenly. During the ceremony, Pakistani side headed by Col Waqar and Indian side headed by Battalion Commander Vareish Singh signed a document and handed Yadav over to Indian officials. Moreover, Pakistan Rangers also handed boat over to Indian officials.
