They speak of democracy but are actually dictators.”
LAHORE:
Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid central leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Friday said the government had initiated a crackdown against PML-Q and Pakistan Awami Tehreek workers in the district. “This shows that the government is in a state of panic,” he said. Elahi said that the government had disregarded the sanctity of “chador and chaar dewari” during the crackdown. “In these circumstances, if any political party enters a deal with the government, its political future will end.” Elahi was talking to media representatives at his residence. He said when the history of the fall of the Sharif brothers will be documented Shahbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif will be responsible for 95 per cent of the blame. “They speak of democracy but are actually dictators.” He said media had revealed the government’s plot to confine people to their houses by impounding their motorcycles, placing containers and imposing Section 144 in the province. He said the right to free movement and assembly was enshrined in the Constitution.
