The IDPs threatened to stage a sit-in on August 14 in Islamabad if they are not registered by August 11.
BANNU:
Displaced families which have not been registered because of dual addresses on their national identity cards protested in front of Bannu Press Club on Friday. Hundreds of IDPs participated. On the occasion, IDP Arif Nawaz told protesters they have been living in North Waziristan for several decades. He added they have dual addresses on their CNICs but are displaced like others living in the agency. Nawaz said the authorities should also register them as IDPs as they too had left their homes and businesses in the agency. The IDPs threatened to stage a sit-in on August 14 in Islamabad if they are not registered by August 11.
