Awaiting final nod: CDA approves metro bus depot in H-9
The government has said the project will complete in December this year.
ISLAMABAD:
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved the construction of a depot for the metro bus at Sector H-9 near the Sunday Bazaar. The Planning Commission is expected to approve the PC-I of the project next week. “Construction work on the Rs1.5 billion bus depot will start the day it gets the go-ahead from the Planning Commission,” an official said on Friday. CDA has already transferred 15 acres to the Punjab government for the depot, which will accommodate more than 64 buses besides housing a restaurant, filling station, service station and workshops. Meanwhile, work on the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project is under way. The government has said the project will complete in December this year.
