According to the statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday evening, the strike was termed a ‘violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.’
“These strikes also have a negative impact on the government’s efforts to bring peace and stability in Pakistan and the region. We therefore expect immediate cessation of such strikes.”
The government has issued similar statements without fail on previous drone strikes.
US resumed drone strikes with intensity in June after a lull of nearly six months.
The strikes are taking place in an area where the Pakistan army is engaged in an operation to push out the militants since June 15. Over 400 militants have been killed in the operation so far and the government has managed to wrest Miranshah from the control of militants while Mir Ali and its surrounding areas are being cleared.

@vinsin: How far back do you want to go? In the last 15 years or so Afghanistan and Iraq were invaded under this pretext. Libya was attacked and regime change effected there on this excuse as well. They also attempted this in Syria but the Russians saved the day with diplomacy. Revenge was extracted on Russia by financing rebellion in formerly pro-russia Ukraine. Same pretext of freedom and democracy. In Egypt the army gets $1.5 billion a year from the US and now a general has taken over there. The excuse given is to protect the Tahir square revolution i.e. "freedom" again.

Has Imran Khan got guts to condemn US drone strikes AND ask the Government to severe diplomatic relations and send Americans packing home to Washington. US drone entered Iranian space and it was shot down. Why Pakistan Air Force cannot do the same? The reason is simple. US has been given full permission to violate Pakistan Air space.

Why Pakistan Air force Strike is good,as if they do not cause any collateral damage, While US Drone strike has eliminated many High Target terrorist.
Americans have been carrying out these strikes with the full consent of our military top brass, because Drones are arguably the most formidable Nemesis of TTP.

Convenient - USA drones strikes are violation of sovereignty but Pakistan launching artillery strikes against Afghanistan or using "hot pursuit" is apparently just self defense. The term hypocrite comes to mind.
