The federal government on Tuesday contacted Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) and formally invited a delegation to meet with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
In a statement issued from its London Secretariat, the MQM said that the party had accepted the invitation and a high-level MQM delegation will meet with Nawaz Sharif on Thursday afternoon at the PM House in Islamabad.
Sheikh Rasheed, Rehman Malik call Altaf Hussain
Meanwhile, the chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik called MQM chief Altaf Hussain to discuss the prevailing political situation.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Rasheed twice called Altaf and discussed the country’s political scenario. He also talked about the rallies the opposition groups were planning to hold in Islamabad along with other important issues of the country.
Meanwhile, PPP Overseas President and former interior minister Malik also called MQM Chief and discussed the current political situation.
