Brutal death: Boy kidnapped from mosque, killed

The cause of death was asphyxiation by strangulation and he had died Monday night.

A four-year-old boy was kidnapped and killed in Amphary in Gilgit Town late Monday night. According to relatives, Mujeer Ahmed was offering Isha prayers when unidentified men entered the mosque and abducted his son. Ahmed is the vice principal at Public School and College Jutial, one of the most prestigious educational institutes in G-B. “As Ahmed ended his prayers, he found his son had gone missing,” said Asif Raza, an uncle. Public announcements were made throughout the night about the missing child but to no avail. His body was then recovered from a nearby field Tuesday morning. According to the post-mortem report, the cause of death was asphyxiation by strangulation and he had died Monday night.
