‘PML-N exposed by no-confidence motion threat’

The information minister said PTI MNAs were fed up of corruption in the federal government.

ABBOTABAD:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani sees the federal government’s threat of moving a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to stop him from dissolving the K-P Assembly as one which exposes the centre’s vulnerability.

Speaking to the media on Monday, Ghani said the statement by PML-N MPA Aurangzeb Nalotha regarding the no-confidence motion shows alarm bells are ringing within the N-League’s camp.

The information minister also said PTI MNAs were fed up of corruption in the federal government and wanted to tender their resignations from the legislature. “We are just waiting for Imran Khan’s call. Our resignations are ready.”

He dispelled the notion that there was resentment in the party over Imran Khan’s call to dissolve the K-P assembly.

Ghani said PTI was confident it would be able to win the support of its coalition partners for the Azadi March on August 14. The minister said a PTI delegation would meet Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq as well as Awami Jamhoori Ittehad Pakistan leader Shahram Tarakai to invite them to join the march to Islamabad.

Ghani claimed the nervousness of PML-N’s government had helped PTI accomplish 50% of its goals and the remaining would be realised on August 14. He warned the federal government against creating hurdles, saying PTI activists would reach D-Chowk at any cost.
