KARACHI:
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will be holding a ‘Gaza Million March’ on August 17 on Sharae Faisal.
The march will be carried out from Baloch Colony to the Finance Trade Centre. A meeting of the JI-Karachi office-bearers was held at Idara-e-Noor Haq by the JI-Karachi chief, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, on Monday to discuss the march.
Addressing the meeting, Rehman said that the hearts of Karachiites were with the people of Gaza and the people will prove this on August 17 by participating in the march in large numbers.
On the occasion, different committees were formed in order to review the arrangements of the march.
Engr Sabir Ahmed will supervise the administrative committee, Osama Razi will take charge of the publicity committee, and Muslim Pervez will be responsible for contacting the leadership of other political and religious parties.
