Minister says government is determined to eliminate prevailing backwardness
NOSHKI:
Federal minister for states and frontier regions Lt. General (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch on Sunday said law and order situation in Balochistan is gradually improving owing to the federal government’s positive policy framework. He said the government is determined to eliminate prevailing backwardness and lawlessness in the province and has adopted multipronged strategy to achieve the goal. “Maximum number of educated youth from Balochistan will be recruited in the federal government departments,” he said and added the federal government will also sponsor public welfare projects in the districts of the province. He said work on Dlabandin-Kharan road will soon be launched to reduce up to 350 kilometres between Taftan and Karachi giving unprecedented impetus to Iran-Pakistan trade.
