The weather would remain hot and humid till August 7

ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday forecast isolated rain in upper Punjab, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir during the next 24 hours. Intermittent showers are also expected in Islamabad. A PMD official told APP that monsoon currents penetrating upper parts of the country would start weakening from Sunday onwards and the weather would turn hot and humid in the following days. The official said the maximum temperatures in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad would only rise up to 35 degrees Celsius, however, humid conditions would prevail for the next few days. The weather would remain hot and humid till August 7 with chances of rain once again in northeastern Punjab and a few parts of K-P from August 8, the official added.
