By year-end, a total of 58 Chinese locomotives are scheduled to reach Karachi, augmenting railway services throughout Pakistan. The workers and officials of the Pakistan Railways have welcomed the arrival of the new locomotives and hoped that they would be used to haul goods trains also to generate much-needed revenue for the cash strapped department.
