Karachi encounter: Four TTP militants killed

During the police encounter, four militants escaped in a white sedan.

Four members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) who were implicated in previous attacks on police and Rangers personnel were killed Monday evening in an encounter on the Super Highway. The militants were killed during a firefight with the Malir district police near Buraq petrol pump on the highway. DSP Qamar Ahmed told The Express Tribune that the raid was carried out following a tip-off about the militants’ hideout. He added that upon seeing the police, the militants opened fire at the police and tried to escape. However, the police retaliated and managed to kill them. During the police encounter, four militants escaped in a white sedan.
