Kareena, Salman ready to razzle-dazzle

Fevicol stars will keep the audiences glued to the cinema screen with their upcoming film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan treads carefully when it comes to film choices, but she seems to let her guard down when it comes to her Bodyguard co-star Salman Khan. After dancing up a storm opposite Salman in Fevicol (Dabangg 2, 2012) and playing his mysterious love interest in Bodyguard (2011), Kareena will be seen next to him in Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

The film, which revolves around a Brahmin girl and Muslim boy, sparked rumours that the storyline reflects Kareena’s personal life, reported IANS. Discrediting the conjecture, Kareena said, “It has got nothing do with my personal life, but it’s a beautiful human story.” Adding that, “I loved the film’s script and my role. While Salman will play the title role of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, I am playing the Brahmin girl,” the Zee News reported.

To be produced under Kabir Khan Productions and Salman Khan Ventures, the film is slated to release on Eid 2015. Salman took to Twitter and shared: “Bajrangi Bhaijaan co-starring Kareena Kapoor and directed by Kabir Khan. Releases, Eid 2015.” With his film Kick presently kicking over in theatres this Eid, Salman’s fans are eager to see whether Bajrangi Bhaijaan will be a treat or not.

Of her rapport with Salman, Kareena shared, “It’s always fun to work with Salman. We share a good rapport. Also, Salman and I make a lovely pairing. It will be a big Eid release and it works for us. The film worked in my time frame, so I said yes for it. The project excited me as an actor,” she said.

“I think this will be the best film of Salman’s career. It will showcase him in a completely different light and it’s a very special film,” said Kareena, who was last seen in box-office bomb Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (2013). “It’s special because Salman is producing it himself and I am honoured that I am working with him. I am lucky to work with all the Khans in all their home productions.”

Bajrangi Bhaijaan will be directed by Kabir Khan, who has helmed films such as New York and the Salman-starrer Ek Tha Tiger and the much-awaited Phantom, which stars Saif Ali Khan and Kareena, the Indian Express reported. Kabir refused to divulge whether the film will be a comedy, but confirmed that its shooting will begin in November. “It will be shot in several locations in India,” he said.

Kabir has done three films with Katrina Kaif and this will be his first project with Kareena. “Kabir and I have not worked with each other, so it’s great to be working with a new director. He has not changed his actor, but this time he did and I am glad he thought of me,” she said. Kareena will soon be seen opposite Ajay Devgn in Singham 2, which will hit the screens on August 15 this year.
