Ban imposed on pillion riding in Karachi

Ban to remain in place from Sunday until midnight on August 1.

KARACHI: A ban has been imposed on pillion riding in Karachi to ensure security in the city during Eidul Fitr, Express News reported on Sunday.

According to the interior secretary, Sindh, the ban will be in place from Sunday until midnight on August 1.

It was also proposed that mobile phones services should be blocked on Eidul Fitr, however, this was not done.

The government had earlier announced a four-day holiday for the festivities of Eidul Fitr from July 29 to August 1.

Baba Ji | 9 years ago | Reply Oh and may I suggest imposing curfew on Eid days ? No security issues .... plus saving millions on petrol and CNG would be an added bonus !!!
