Extra Fervour: Health ministry to celebrate August 14
The ministry has also constituted a body to oversee and facilitate arrangements

The Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination (NHSRC) will celebrate Independence Day under the theme of “Azad Pakistan — Sehatmand Pakistan” to promote the concept of a healthy country. A meeting chaired by NHSRC Minister Saira Afzal Tarar also decided that all pharmaceutical companies will affix stickers of the national flag on their products. Hoardings of pharmaceutical products will carry a new skin reflecting the “Azad Pakistan — Sehatmand Pakistan” theme during the entire month of August. The ministry has also directed all departments working under it to observe the day by pasting the branding and displaying banners. All officials of the ministry and subordinate organisations will wear badges of the national flag throughout August. Moreover, the Health Services Academy will hold seminars to highlight health issues and challenges facing the country.
