2 dead, 2 injured in firing incident in Karachi

The dead and injured have been transferred to a nearby hospital.

KARACHI: Two people were killed and two others were injured in a firing incident in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi, on Saturday evening, Express News reported.

The incident took place outside a mosque in Block 13-D of Gulshan-e-Iqbal. Four armed men riding on two motorcycles fired at the men before fleeing.

The dead and injured have yet to be identified. They have been transferred to a nearby hospital.

Two days ago, a lawyer -- who was the son-in-law of renowned scholar Allama Talib Jauhri -- was shot dead in the same area.

The lawyer was on his way home from work when four men on two motorcycles shot him, resulting in him dying on the spot. Police believe he was killed in a sectarian attack.
