80% IDPs have received Ramazan package, says Abdul Qadir Baloch
Minister for States and Frontier Regions adds rest of the IDPs will get it before Eidul Fitr.
Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Abdul Qadir Baloch has said that 80% of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan have received the Ramazan package while the rest of them will get it before Eidul Fitr, Radio Pakistan reported on Saturday.
Under the Ramazan package, the government will give Rs52,000 to each family of IDPs, the minister said during an interview.
Meanwhile, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has increased the number of doctors providing health services to IDPs of North Waziristan, the report further said.
According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, 94 doctors have been assigned for IDPs - 18 are working in Bannu, 32 in Dera Ismail Khan and 44 in Lakki Marwat districts.
