Old enmity : Woman attacked with boiling oil

BAHAWALPUR: A woman was attacked with boiling oil when she went to see about her son who had been attacked by some of his rivals in Noorpur Noranga near Bahawalpur on Friday. Police said Ali Abbas was ambushed by his rivals Arshad Abbasi, Waqas Shah and Akhtar and beaten up with sticks. Police arrived at the scene and took the men to a police post. When Abbas’s mother Bibi Syeda Sajida Shah arrived at the scene to see her son, she was attacked with boiling oil. She was taken to Khanqah Sharif Rural Health Centre where doctors treating her said that her face had gotten burnt badly and lost an eye. Musafir Khana police have registered a case against the criminals and started investigations.
