Light showers: City experiences heat reprieve, as monsoon approaches
Karachi also experienced a light rain in its different parts of the city on Thursday.

The temperature has finally gone down in the metropolis with the arrival of monsoon rains. Light showers were experienced throughout the city on Friday. Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts light and moderate rain along with thunder showers in Karachi, Mirpur Khas and Hyderabad over the next 24 hours.
The minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 29 degree celsius while the maximum temperature was 33 degrees celsius. PMD officials said that the monsoon entered the country from Khaleej-e-Bengal approximately four days ago and will remain till the end of the season.

The PMD recorded 1.2 millimetre rain in the airport areas and 1.0 millimetre at Masroor Base area, which dropped down the mercury level.
