Coercion tactics: Cases registered against extortionists
Faqirabad police registered an FIR and launched an investigation.

Shah Qabool and Tatara police registered FIRs against unidentified extortionists on the complaints of three individuals on Wednesday. Kalbeet Singh, a resident of Aasia Gate, lodged an FIR with Shah Qabool police saying he was constantly receiving calls from extortionists demanding Rs10 million and threatening him with dire consequences if the amount was not paid. Similarly, Muhammad Niaz, a resident of Shahab Khel, Badhaber lodged an FIR with Tatara police stating unidentified miscreants were demanding Rs3 million. Mujeeb Ahmad, a resident of Chitral currently residing in Hayatabad Phase VI, lodged an FIR with the same station stating that he was also receiving threats from unidentified militants demanding Rs2 million. Police registered FIRs in all three cases and started an investigation. Meanwhile, a man identified as Mian Atiqur Rehman was kidnapped at gunpoint from Itihad Colony. Faqirabad police registered an FIR and launched an investigation.
